Dr Sinton

posted 25 Apr 2013 07:22 by Rob Mayson

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Dr Roger Sinton, a former doctor in the practice who retired in 1985 after many years service has died this week. On retirement from the Ware Road Surgery he moved to the Yorkshire Dales and  after a number of years settled in Northumberland. We last saw him in Hoddesdon eight years ago when he came to the opening of the new surgery. We are aware that many of our patients have been registered with us since the days of Drs. Sinton, Wood, Baxter and Vyas and indeed some may have even been brought into the world by Dr Sinton! We thought therefore that you may like to know that his wife Marion is alive and in good health and if you would like to write to her please send your letter to the surgery and we will forward it to her.

Current High Demand for services

posted 20 Mar 2012 06:38 by Rob Mayson

Due to restricted budgets and multiple viruses including influenza, we are currently experiencing unprecedented high demand for appointments. We ask that patients try not to miss their appointments once booked and consider alternative ways to seek health advice where appropriate. For example, your pharmacist may be able to offer advice. We continue to see all patients that consider their problem urgent on the same day. We expect the routine appointment wait to reduce in April

Blood tests

posted 13 Mar 2012 15:29 by Rob Mayson

The tower centre is closing on the 21st March 2012. Thank you for feedback on the comments tab. Due to the comment received by a helpful patient we are posting this information. Patients may have noticed that we have started to offer blood testing in the surgery. This will be fully up and running when the tower centre closes and we are pleased to provide this on three mornings a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Blood testing is by appointment only. Please book an appointment the same way you might to see a doctor or nurse.

We greatly appreciate her being part of the team. She has been a great asset and has looked after her patients well. We wish her all the best for the future.
